Single-use plastic ban

It's official!

Single - use plastic items, such as disposable cutlery and plates, will be banned in the UK.

It is estimated that around 5 billion single use plastic items are used every year, creating a huge knock on effect to our planet and environmental. More that one million birds, sea mammals and turtles die every year from this pollution.

It is not clear when this will come into effect but has been a long time coming and rules and regulations like these are small steps in the right direction.
